Waxing Do’s & Don’t Prior to Service
Do lightly exfoliate 24-48 Hours prior to waxing service to prevent in-grown hair’s and remove dead skin cell’s.
Do ensure that your hair is at least 1/4 inches long, so that the wax grip’s properly.
Do wear loose clothing to prevent skin irritation after service.
Do inform about medication’s, allergies, and skin condition’s. (Retinol A, Accutane, or sunburn)
Avoid shaving for 2-3 week’s prior to your waxing appointment.
Stay out of the sun for at least 24–48 hours before waxing to prevent skin damage or increased sensitivity.
Stop using retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or other exfoliating products on the area at least 3–5 days before to avoid over-sensitized skin.
Postpone your appointment if you have cuts, rashes, or sunburn in the area.
Waxing Do’s & Don’t After Service
Avoid heavy workouts, saunas, steam rooms, or hot baths 24 -48 hours after service.
Don’t tan or expose to direct sunlight – Freshly waxed skin is more prone to sunburn and hyperpigmentation.
Don’t apply fragrance, deodorant, or alcohol-based products – These can irritate the skin.
Don’t swim in pools, oceans, or hot tubs for 24–48 hours – These environments can carry bacteria and irritants.
Don’t shave between waxing appointments – It disrupts the hair growth cycle and reduces waxing effectiveness over time.
Facial Do’s & Don’t Prior to Service
Let your esthetician know if you're using products with retinol, AHAs, BHAs, Accutane, or anything prescribed.
Hydrate well – Drink water before your appointment to help your skin stay plump and responsive to treatment.
Avoid waxing or shaving for at least 24 hours – Recently waxed or shaved skin can be more sensitive and prone to irritation during a facial.
Arrive with a clean face (if possible) – No makeup makes the process smoother, but your esthetician will cleanse your skin thoroughly either way.
Wear comfortable clothing – Most facials involve lying down and relaxing, so dress comfortably.
Don’t exfoliate 2–3 days prior – Avoid using scrubs or chemical exfoliants to prevent over-sensitizing your skin.
Don’t use retinoids or strong actives 3–5 days prior – These can cause irritation or interfere with treatment products.
Don’t get a facial right before a big event – Some treatments cause temporary redness or purging. Schedule at least 3–5 days in advance.
Don’t tan or sunbathe – Sunburned skin cannot be safely treated.
Don’t book during active cold sores or infections.
Facial Do’s & Don’t After Service
Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water to help flush toxins and keep your skin glowing.
Use gentle skincare – Stick to mild, hydrating cleansers and moisturizers for the next 1–2 days.
Apply SPF daily – Your skin may be more sensitive to UV rays; protect it with broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+).
Follow home care advice – Use any recommended products and routines provided by your esthetician.
Avoid touching your face – Let your skin heal without introducing bacteria or friction.
Be patient with results – Especially after deep cleansing or extractions, redness or purging can be normal.
Don’t exfoliate for at least 48–72 hours – Your skin is already exfoliated during the facial; overdoing it can cause irritation.
Don’t use active ingredients – Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C serums for 2–5 days, unless advised otherwise.
Don’t wear heavy makeup for 24 hours – Give your pores time to breathe and absorb nutrients from the treatment.
Don’t work out or sweat excessively for 24 hours – Sweat can irritate freshly treated skin and lead to breakouts.
Don’t get waxed, threaded, or shaved on treated areas – Wait at least 24–48 hours to avoid sensitivity and inflammation.
Don’t go tanning or use saunas/steam rooms – Avoid heat and sun exposure for at least 48 hours to prevent hyperpigmentation or irritation.
